A warm greeting awaits you at The White Lion Inn, nestling at the centre of the historic and picturesque village of Wherwell that lies deep in the heart of rural Hampshire and the beautiful Test Valley.

 

The Inn is open from 07.30 am to 11.00 pm 7 days a week. We serve breakfasts to residents and non from 7.30 am untill 10.00 am Monday to Friday and then 8.00 am to 10.00 am Saturday and Sunday. More extensive menus are available lunch time and evenings. The Inn also offers comfortable country style rooming for those seeking accommodation and a function room for private dining, parties or business meetings.

 

The Inn is conveniently located close to many major historic towns and cities with Hampshire and neighbouring counties having much to offer those seeking activity, places of interest, rest and relaxation. Ranging from clay and field sport shoots to horse riding to fishing the famous chalk river's Test, Kennet, Avon, Anton, Itchen, and Nadder and the many tributaries and lakes to offering quiet walks and cycling routes along The Test Way and Downs.

 

Alternatively simply take time to enjoy the tranquil Hampshire Test Valley with it's quiet country lanes, clear glistening rivers awash with trout, abundant wildlife and the safe quiet country bridleways and paths.

 

Or visit the many historic wonders, such as Stonehenge, The Avebury Ring and the attractions that Southampton, Salisbury, Winchester, Romsey, Stockbridge and the nearby New Forest and South Coast have to offer.

 

Only an hour by road or rail from London we are located just 5 minutes drive from Andover and the A303, The Inn is ideally positioned as both a base for business with it's accommodation and function room, or for those seeking the many recreational activities the area has to offer.
